Industrial Automation

Industrial Automation

Machine Lab designs and integrates PLC-based control systems for individual machines, production lines and process plants — from I/O design and programming to operator screens, communication and commissioning.

System architecture

Control systems engineered around your machines and process.

  2. 02 PLC Control logic
  3. 03 VFD & Actuators Motion & process
  4. 04 HMI Operator control
  5. 05 SCADA Supervision

Typical challenges

What this solves

  • Relay-based or obsolete controls that are difficult to troubleshoot and modify.
  • Machines that run independently with no shared data or central visibility.
  • Frequent stoppages without alarm history or clear fault information.
  • Manual operation where consistent, repeatable sequences are needed.

Capabilities

What we deliver

  • Control philosophy and functional description
  • I/O lists, panel layouts and wiring drawings
  • PLC programming and program modification
  • HMI screen design and alarm management
  • VFD integration and motor control
  • Industrial communication (e.g. Modbus, Ethernet-based protocols)
  • Testing, commissioning and handover documentation

Engineering approach

How Machine Lab approaches it

  • 01

    Machine automation

Sequencing, interlocks, motor control, drives and safety-related logic for individual machines and packaged equipment.

  • 02

    Process automation

Analog measurement, PID control, dosing, level, pressure, temperature and flow loops for continuous and batch processes.

  • 03

    Operator interface

HMI screens with clear navigation, alarms, trends and recipes so operators can run and diagnose the system.

  • 04

    Communication & data

Industrial networks and protocols connecting PLCs, drives, meters and instruments to HMI, SCADA and data platforms.

PLC, HMI and SCADA control architecture Sensors and meters send signals to PLC input modules. The PLC CPU runs the control logic and drives actuators and a VFD-controlled motor. An industrial Ethernet network connects the PLC, VFD and energy meter to the HMI and SCADA.
